About Us
The Learning Disabilities Association of Red Deer has worked tirelessly since 1989, to provide services and support for persons with learning disabilities and to help raise awareness of learning disabilities – how they affect the individual, families and friends, and our communities.
We serve Central Alberta. We have resources and referrals, and have created events or programs, in many Central Alberta communities, including: Red Deer, Lacombe, Rocky Mountain House, Stettler, and other communities.

We are a “working board” and each contribute above and beyond our monthly meetings by being involved in activities that help us achieve our Mission and Vision.
The Board is interested in increasing its capacity and welcomes persons who have a passion and commitment for contributing their specific expertise and/or in working on activities and committees.
If you have an interest in serving your community and supporting persons with learning disabilities and ADHD, please contact the LD Red Deer Office at 403-340-3885. The Board consists of up to 12 dedicated individuals who would like to have input and chart a path for the future of the Association.
Community Advisory Board
We are also recruiting a Community Advisory Board of persons who are liaisons for specific areas of the community, and who are able to help keep LDA-RD up to date with the developments in a specific sector.
These persons are not required to attend monthly meetings, and instead contribute periodic reports. If you are interested in helping LDA-RD in this way, please contact us.
