Operating and Capital Needs
To effectively provide services, programs and events, the LDA-Red Deer rents modest and functional offices, has a minimal amount of modern office equipment and technology, and hires experienced and qualified staff to provide support to persons who learning differently. All of this brings associated costs.
Please consider targeting your donation – cash, office equipment or supplies – to our day-to-day operating or capital needs.
Program Needs
Every year, LDA-Red Deer creates programs and events to serve particular segments of our population. We face development costs, office costs for items like paper, printing, and posters, and publicity costs if we are to advertise.
Please consider targeting your donation to help enable our various well-received programs. Contact us if you would like to sponsor a particular program.
Sponsor Assistance for an Individual!
Not all persons with learning disabilities or their families are able to afford assistance that is both ongoing and intensive. Yet LDA-Red Deer has significant costs just by opening our doors. We need to raise funds to keep those doors open, therefore cannot offer all programs and services for free.
Consider targeting your donation to sponsor worthy individuals with learning disabilities, who are also in economic need, to receive tutoring or a space in our programs. Please contact us to discuss this option.

Additional Tax Credits for Donors
The Province of Alberta adds extra strength to Alberta’s non-profit donations and makes your charitable donations work harder!
Your individual donation supports LDA-RD a second time through the Government of Alberta Community Spirit Grant Program.
The program’s goal is to help increase individual private donations to Alberta’s non-profit and charitable organizations. Two components make up the Community Spirit Program: the donation grant and the charitable tax credit. When added to the federal tax credit, this gives Albertans a 50% non-refundable tax credit for donations that exceed $200 in a tax year.
“This program not only exemplifies the very spirit of this province, but its success is proof of Albertans’ unfaltering commitment to improving the lives of others,” said Premier Ed Stelmach.

LDA Red Deer welcomes volunteers in a variety of areas to help us serve persons with learning disabilities and their families.
Do you have skills in any of the following areas?

- Other skills or efforts you would like to contribute
Your assistance can help LDA-Red Deer provide daily services to our members and non-members, including:

Bottle Drive
Here at LDA-Red Deer, we know that every dollar counts!!
Please help fund our programs and operating costs! We are seeking donations of returnable bottles and cans.
On the first Saturday of each month, please help raise funds by donating your empties, or helping to collect them. Please contact Jennifer @ 403-754-1470.
